Interview Showtek and more English content :)

Hi y'all!

How's everyone doing here? It's my first topic in this 'English Only' forum :cheer: As some of you might already know, I'm a freelance journalist and I also write reports, interviews 'n stuff like that for Q-dance.nl. Since Q-dance is also doing parties in other countries, we thought we should provide more English content in our Magazine for all our foreign visitors. We just made a start with it so don't expect too much, but in the future it will get better.

Today I finished an interview with Showtek, which is also on our website in English (movies are subtitled). Also, part of our In Qontrol report is written in English. Those who can't read Dutch, just skip the Dutch text, the rest will do :)

I wrote a report about A State of Trance (ASOT) 300, in english :)
It is my first report written in english, so I'm quite curious if you like it! Feel free to read and give feedback :)

Ok, a reaction in English as well ;) ; I think you did a great job honey! It's not easy huh, writing in English? :( I did an online test yesterday and I just scored an intermediate level :(, was a bit dissapointed about that. I'm thinking of maybe following a course this summer. Things like proverbs and stuff is all very different in English. Still, I think you succeeded and you did a great job. I'm even a bit jealous :bloos: Nice report about a nice party (although it was too crowded for me, but hey, like I take notice of anything at all when Markus is playing :D ).

Keep up the good work! And let's see how our strengths will combine at Defqon.1 ;) (k) for you Steefje!

i was planning to point my report out to you O:) Anyway, it was hard starting, but later on I proceeded quite fast :) So, all concluding, it was less hard than I expected :)

Hey Jaky, I always read and apreciate your report, and you can't imagin (or maybe you can) how much I've laughed when I saw the interview you did to Tatanka, Luca and Antonio an the TBY, a grat sens of humor :jaja: in the end we (Italian) are appreciate all around the world coz we are littel bit crazy :LOL:

I read your report coz like the way you write and because in this way I keep trained my english coz here in Italy I don't have so many opportunity to speack english.

A good school to have results and improve your english (that's already 10 times better than mine), "The British Council" ... just a hint ;)

I did a fev party videos in english, but in england wildschild london

I tried to create an english party report Video in germany but Failed because people are too lazy to talk english. For reports on my Weblog CyberRave i use english all the time couse it is an international site.

There are some interviews or talks with hardcore artists in English inside my German party report videos on Google Videos

Thank you! (l) You're a big Tiësto fan, right? I don't know if you're already a member at www.tiesto.com but that forum is also in English, as well as the reports. Maybe also a nice way to learn some more. :)

Tnx for the tip! Very useful for I'm looking for something like that at the moment actually. I did a test at www.englishtown.com this week, also a good test. Well and if it all doesn't work out we always have hands and feet haha! :)

Cool! I'll check them. I think Germany is very different from Holland. Just like France, people always try to talk their own language to Dutch people, 'cause they probably know we learn both French and German at school.

In opposite to Holland specially where people just start to speak English if they just guess you are not Dutch :-)

But you are right most Germans are not that used to speak english even for me it´s sometimes funny.

But i also know non-Germans who prefer German to English, dunno why.
I really like English maybe this is why we didn´t learn Dutch yet.

:D I am one of them. In contrast to 99,999% of the Dutch people I don't hate Germany, German football of German language. Actually, I really like to talk German :D I always start doing that when I'm drunk. Und mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut, aber das ist nicht mein problem, oder? Ich denke, es ist einfach eine ganz geile Sprache. Ja doch!

Haha I'm sorry, here I go again. Think it is time I move to Berlin (I love love love Berlin (l)) for real so I can speak German all day :D

Italians and Frenchies do OK I think, at least in Milan and Paris.
It's the effort that counts!

We're just trying to be nice. It's twice as much work for us to write in English and it's not like we have 30.000 foreign visitors at the parties. ;) But still Steven and I felt like doing something every now and then so foreign people can also understand a bit of what's going on. He also wrote an Engliish report here on PF. Doesn't have shit to do with spamming. It's only informative, 'cause the website is also in Dutch and not everyone will be able to find English content. What a negative comment, bah. :(
you try to do something nice for the english-speaking people.. :/
