I`ve decided to open a forum dedicated to my favorite people...The Dutch.

Dutch are an amazing breed of people and I must say after 7 years I am very impressed with them..( How could I not be 95% of my friends is Dutch )

However since this is English only and mostly non Dutch leave their comments.

What things you love about the Dutch and what things do you see and say WTF is going on here

Of course Dutch can participate

For Example: The way everybody in the metro doesn`t seem to move although there is so much space in the wagen typical Dutch

That's also like everybody seems to be standing or want's to be in the same spot in a Club.

This might be strange but if you compare the Dutch to the English, or any other country except the Germans (haha ) they are quite unfriendly

I like the Dutch, living in Amsterdam für 3 Month now but it´s also a bit boring everbody seems relaxed and peaceful.

What i don´t like here is the Fuck foreiginers mugging,

Thats because you shouldn`t compre Amsterdam or any other city( except Rotterdam because its new ) as a real city

Amsterdam is one big village that well is easy to maintain. Its also so peaceful cause everyone is stoned or fucked and because well there is more bikes then cars

Yep, well, making love(or the somewhat more agressive term 'fuck') is a wellknown word you hear when people from the U.S. curse. When we think about that, is's not logical either.

Probably something Dutch that I don't have than. I just ask what the person wishes to drink. When it's 30 degrees outside in july, I'm not going to ask if anybody is so stuborn to drink coffee or tea, simply because it's 'that time of the day'.

No offense but I`m a heavy eater. Maybe I want 2 pieces of meat instead of 1 For me its okay but for people outside Holland its like a whole new expierence

I know I know. Been here long enough to understand all dialects except Groningen and Fries..but then again not even the Ducth understand.

Gronings isn't that difficult the swallow half their words
Fries..............I don't understand eighter

But than again, Maastrichts is difficult for people from the west (Amsterdam/Rotterdam)
They think that it's half German, and that is a misunderstanding.
Maastrichts has more Frensh and English words than German.
Because we use "diech, Iech and Miech" (you and me) they think it is German

One of the things that I love of Dutch people is that the look is not very important.. I mean, in Italy everytime, everyday, people judge you by the clothes you wear.. it is very stupid.

Yup. People from T` Gooi, Wassenar, Blomendaal, and the rich villages between Amsterdam & Utrecht.

and age has a lot to do with it

only the tourists are and it's mainly in and around the red light district. I think Amsterdam is peacefull because the city center is quite small and not very accecible by car, everybody uses bike or trams.
