Repost from Geroyche.
I've read this guys emails and I would def. say that he is probably a serial killer. Thats my own personal openion. I wouldnt want any of my music making friends to be screwed by this guy

Some of you know me in person, some don't.
But i guess all those who do will agree that i take facts seriously,
investigate, and love truth. So, trust me on this.

Beware of this guy Andras ( http://www.myspace.com/syntax_terror ).
If he is in your friendlist, think twice about it.

For all i know by now he is a notorious liar and steals other people's music, crediting it to himself.

The story goes a like this:

So he contacted me, left kind comments, loves my music and if i ever need a show in new york... blah...

maybe his hungarian roots make him more trustworthy to me, i have some too
;)
others i show the profile to kinda get scared instead.

At the bottom of his music interests it says he'd make music and gladly sends via email.
So i get like 9 tunes. one says 'syntax terror vs. nomex@alternation live cut'. i think "wow, a track with nomex". the stuff he sends is very diverse.
then he tells me he will fly to germany late march. to play an illegal breakcore-rave
in frankfurt. with like 5,000 people and lots of money involved.
unfortunately no flyers or website, since it is illegal.

other artists: bomb20, desert storm breakcore squad, dj fistfuck and more.
he wants to pay my train so i come too. and maybe split his huge artist fee.

this gets me suspicious in so many ways... never heard of a breakcore party in frankfurt,
those guys he mentioned don't play live really anymore,
too much people, too much money... no google hits on his music so who pays him that lotsa money? etc...

i contact the three artists he mentions, since i had loose contacts with all of them before,
and none of them knows what the heck i am talking about.
bomb20 was like "no dude, i just moved to london".
jindrich asked something like "what? who organizes this?"
and martin damm wouldn't even play under his defunct alias
fistfuck anymore he said, and that i should be careful.

so he loses his credibility to me. i start questioning his diverse "own" music.
and i of course soon realize that the nomex track is byte-identical with the nomex vs. ricky track on cavage 09, as available from the c8 tunes database online . unfortunately one of the few cavage records i don't own, so it didn't instantly ring a bell.
i sent nomex a message via the c8 board about this. hope he will read it soon.
unfortunately his old website got hijacked and the new one doesn't exist yet. his current email address is not know to me.

another track is labelled "bas lookman - international karate [syntax terror FST Refix]". it is in m4a format. once i realized the nomex fraud i kept on looking.
i found that international karate is an old c64 tune by rob hubbard.
bas lookman is apparently a dutch guy who made the remix in 2002.

this mp3 equals the m4a i got from syntax terror down to the last second.
his name, bas lookman, is quite unique, so based on the few google results that there are he maybe joined a rockband later on, and works in movies nowadays.

one track sounds like perfect 1993 shockwave, i couldn't id it though. other tracks are wordsound like experimental hiphop.
i am by now sure that most of them are stolen.

i played the fool for some messages, but i now have confronted him with my findings.
as for the phony party-line up... he claims he's been lied to by the frankfurt promoter and that this guy abandoned contact when he confronted him (but left him a paid-for flightticket ?!).
i tell him i want this guys' contact, since my friends are angry their names are used to advertise a random party.

he tells me some strange story, but doesn't give me the contact.

he denies charges of stealing music (as you can see in his profile by now).
for the nomex track: he claims he was the uncredited soundman on stage (yeah right, at the alternation squat, in march 2002), still involved with the noise, so he changed the mp3 title.
suuuuure... i don't even know if i should, but i may ask boris from cavage, who hosted that night.

for the c64 remix: he says the original track had no beats, this was his remix.
well this sounds strange in several ways... why did he then leave the remixers name in the title (bas lookman) and didn't write
ron hubbard ... [syntax terror refix] ... and why does his track exactly equal this bas lookman mp3 online?
and he is *not* bas lookman...

he claims he will play in nürnberg in early april and i could come see.
or even listen via webstream. details would yet have to be revealed.
currently i am in contact with friends in nürnberg. i doubt there is any such event.
however, should there be one, and should they afford to fly in an american dude, for whoms musical identity there is no google hit, i will tell the organizers all this.

this is not about me gossiping. i will not spread other speculations
people had when looking at his profile.
and i will not quote from my private conversations with him in a bulletin.
this is about somebody stealing other people's music to profile himself.
and i have proof.
since lots of you are my friends, also musicians, and on his friendlist,
i thought i'd let you know.

if you care that much, you can contact me for the original conversations, or the audio files he sent me.
