aangeschoten of in een val,
niemand die hem aan wil raken,
hooguit om hem af te maken.

De vriendschap van een poes of kat,
is een vriendschap voor het leven,
voor een ander niet te zien,
hoeveel zo'n beestje je kan geven.
Want ben je eens verdrietig,
hij kijkt je dan zo aan,
alsof hij zeggen wil,
ik zal altijd naast je staan.
En als je dan weer vrolijk bent,
dan slaat hij met z'n staart,
en miauwt alsof hij tegen je zegt:
dat hebben we weer geklaard.
Zo'n vriendschap is een wonder,
een wonder te beleven,
zo'n vriendschap kan geen mens,
geen mens kan zoiets geven.

Nou, het begint met een kopje tegen m'n wang dan gekriebel in m'n oor, daar is die snor toch voor.
Getrek aan m'n haar
en ze zijn nog lang niet klaar,
onder de deken
wacht ik op het volgende teken.
Een sprong, een duik
boem...bovenop m'n buik
slupend langs m'n benen
volgt de aanval op m'n tenen.
Ondeugende oogjes kijken me aan;
"mam, 't is tijd om op te staan"
een lief likje op m'n neus,
nu heb ik echt geen andere keus.
Moe stap ik uit m'n bed
en zij...
zij miauwen van de pret!

En hij krijgt steeds meer pijn ..
Mag je dan ,, omdat je hem niet wilt missen ..

Als twee trouwe ogen zich sluiten gaan ..
Voorgoed en je zonder hem naar huis toe moet ..
Met de reismand in je hand en een hart vol pijn ..
Dan probeer je jezelf te overtuigen ,,
dit was het beste ..
Ik mocht niet Egoístische zijn ..
Helaas te weinig jaren was hij bij ons ,,
elke dag samen was een feest ..
En in al die fijne jaren Is hij zelf niet een keer ...

and small cotton mice ......

in the sky!

loud and strong.
The angels will rub
kitties' noses and ears
and sing them
a Cat Heaven song.
And when cats are hungry,
there's God's kitchen counter
all covered with
white kitty dishes,
full of tuna and salmon
and mounds of sardines,
and wonderful little pink fishes.
The cats in Cat Heaven
are so loved and spoiled
God lets them all
lie on his bed . . .
He walks in His garden
with a good black book
and a kitty
asleep on His head.
Then when a cat needs,
she may just simply ponder
and watch the blue world
deep and wide . . .
She will watch the old house
where she once lived and wandered,
and the people who loved her inside.
All cats love Heaven,
they know the way there,
they know where
the angel cats fly.
They'll run past the stars
and the moon and the sun . . . . . .
to curl up with God in the sky.
