Matte a.k.a. Machteld is a Belgian dnb vocalist and mc. Starting out at the vocal academy when she was 14, Matte trained her vocal skills on jazz standards and classical parts. At the age of 16 she spent several years singing in a local punkrockband, named 'Fervent Hike'. Two years later, Matte established herself as a backing vocal in the reggae and hiphopcollective 'Kasbar'. Her career blossomed when she looked for a new challenge and found it in the shape of 'Sushi Attack', where she expresses herself as a songwriter and singer.

In the summer of 2010 she crossed path with Drum and Bass DJ Kai, Fond of smashing drums and filthy basslines, the opportunity to sing and mc alongside Kai made her find her alter ego as Mc MaTTe. In a few try-outs as mc she quickly learnt how to combine her different backgrounds in a catchy and jazzy vibe, blowing you away.
