Biografie
Bursting and blooming into the "boys dominated" Sunrise roster, Alexandra brings that refined yet energic feminine breeze into the Romanian electronic music scene.
Deeply in love with vinyls, drawing her inspiration from various artists, styles of music, arts or other life pleasures - from Zip to Herbert, from [a:rpia:r] to jazz, from Jim Jarmusch to tequila - Alexandra doesn't want to be labeled under some specific music genres.
Alexandra's first gigs abroad took her straight into the DJ booth of Robert Johnson club in Offenbach, Club der Visionaere in Berlin and Arma17 Beach Party in Moscow. Recently she was invited to play for the Get Perlonized night in Panorama Bar Berlin (along with Zip, Sammy Dee and Ricardo Villalobos), Monza @ Sankeys Ibiza, Underground Ibiza, Circolo Degli Illuminati in Rome and Concrete Paris.
Her curiousity and passion for music drove her through the journey into the electronic music environment of Romania. First she wrote articles for ClubbingMag (the first romanian clubbing magazine). Then she joined the Sunrise Booking Agency and [a:rpia:r] label team to put up a lot of beautiful electronic music events and to promote some of the most talented Romanian artists.
Her debut as a DJ came in 2009 at a Wicked Sound party in Mash-up club in Bucharest, where she opened the night for Kozo and Cezar. Since then, Alexandra played along with Zip, Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Cassy, Vera, Valentino Kanzyani, Thomas Melchior, DJ Qu, Masomenos, Abelle, DJ W!ld, Eva Maria, Martine and most of her fellows DJs of Sunrise. Sunwaves Festival, where she was spinning for the 5th, 6th and 9th edition, is one her favourite events to play at.
