Biografie
Jelmer Boensma, better known as DJ / producer Jelmex, is a youngster from The Netherlands. His passion for EDM music has been there from an early age. Jelmex started his DJ career when he was only eight years old and he began producing music at the age of 11. Since then, he has spent a lot of spare time in his studio. This resulted in quite a few Jelmex tracks, but also several collaborations with various amazing artists.
Jelmex's first song, 'De Afstand', was released in May 2020. In November 2021 he decided to launch a collaboration with Sofia Dragt on his own label named 'Jelmex Music | Productions'. Since all clubs and festivals were closed the past two years, Jelmex completely focused on producing new music. This resulted in many ID's, that will be released this year!
Nowadays, this young talent from Twente has performed in many different large clubs and festivals. A couple of highlights in Jelmex's career are his performances on the Mainstage of 'Bevrijdingsdag (Liberation Day) Enschede', 'Boulevard Outdoor', 'Hengover' and many more. Besides that, he also displayed his musical skills for national soccer clubs FC Twente and Heracles Almelo.
During the COVID-19 lockdown Jelmex played large livestreams such as 'Introductieweek Saxion Hogeschool' and 'Steun Horeca Almelo'. As the young entrepreneur couldn't sit still, he also organized livestreams 'Jelmex Invites', 'Hengelo Presents' together with Municipality Hengelo & Metropool and 'Virtual Teen Clubnight' together with Paradiso Amsterdam.
In his career Jelmex won several DJ contests and last year he was a contestant for a remix from KSHMR's 'Song Of War'. KSHMR himself and his label listed Jelmex's remix as unique and rewarded him with the 3rd place!
What else does Jelmex have in store for 2022? At least we know he's going to release at lot of new music and free mashups to download. ARE YOU READY TO GET SUPRISED?
