Biografie
·Pete, or just Pete is always the last man standing. A character with not too many words, but piles of vinyl. The Dutchman outshines in modesty and is undoubtedly one of the most empathic dj's out there. No wonder he recently became part of tINI & The Gang (with Die Holländer: Sander Baan and Makcim), and has his residency at the infamous Club Der Visionaere /Hoppetosse in Berlin for some steady years now.
With a deep sound well constructed since he bought his first records back in '97. Started working at Rare Records, Pete formed the Minimal Eindhoven collective with dj/producer and best friend Makcim. Inspired to bring the deep minimal sound to the south of Holland they invited artists like Cabanne, Baby Ford, Deadbeat and Mathew Johnson to clubs in Eindhoven. As one of the southern pioneers he played across the country and performed at famous venues like Studio 80, Paradiso, Doornroosje and festivals like Extrema Outdoor and Awakenings.
Back in 2007, he got invited to play at the Arena club in Berlin for his first gig abroad. This city, Berlin and Pete fell in love straight away. Until now Berlin is like homecoming for Pete. With mesmerizing, deep 24 hours sets packed with tracks that underline the moment or gently lead you to another, Die Hauptstadt warmly embraces him every one or two months ever since.
Accused of maniacally collecting just those pieces of house music that make him the authority in revealing the hidden pearls out there. A stunning record collection from what he only knows its potential.
