Biografie
Inspired by many different genres, this producer certainly stands out from the crowd. Over the years his style has developed into pop flavored tunes and catchy melodies combined with a wide range of musical influences. In 2012 he started his own business; Sjeng Beats was a fact.
Not only does Sjeng compose music, since 2011 he has been spinning at clubs frequently as his DJ alias Sonny Bass. With a raw combination of his own music (Bass!) and dirty electro/house sounds, Sonny Bass knows how to work the crowd. His works have been played by multiple DJs including Robert Abigail from the famous 'Mojito Song'.
Sjeng has worked with artists such as R&B singer Ebon-E (known from: 'On my way', 'Everyone falls in love sometimes' ft. Beenie Man & 'Amor Prohibido') with whom he is currently collaborating as the group 'Team Wavey' together with British Ragga Mc Royston 'Lyrical' Williams. With a mixture of pop and dance music in their spectacular live performances, Team Wavey is able to guarantee an astonishing show.
Furthermore Sjeng has worked with multiple rappers including Moroccan rapper Salah Edin; in 2012 they released the videoclip 'Blijven Hosselen' ft. Nektar.
Recently the video: 'Letters worden zinnen' by little superstar Monsif came out, which is the theme song for a campaign of "De VoorleesExpress"; a non-profit organization that helps children with language disabilities by sending out volunteers to read stories to them in order to improve their Dutch language. Sjeng produced the beat for this song.
At the moment Sonny Bass is working in the studio on his house tracks with DJ Daniel Diego (known from the Sneakerz single 'Moondancers') and DJ Quest. The first official Sonny Bass release is on its way. Make sure to keep a close eye on his profile to stay updated!
