Obey

Obey had his first encounter with dubstep about 6 years ago. From that day on, he rarely listens to anything else. His passion for dubstep grew so big, that the decided besides just listening to music, to try and play sets himself.

It soon became clear that Obey had a lot of talent for djing, and this resulted in numerous gigs at small local events. Obey had his first serious booking in the fall of 2012 at FYAH! playing alongside Tekone, Shockone, Tomba and Pat.

Since joining the Access Booking Agency and the Access FM Radio crew, Obey played at multiple major events in Holland. Starting out as a resident dj in the Talent Room at the infamous 50Hurtz events, he soon made his debute in the main room at the Melkweg.

This kid has also already played at the longest running dubstep night of Holland: Oi! And all this during the world famous Amsterdam Dance Event which is being held every year through out Amsterdam. Obey had the honour to warm up the main room before Dismantle, Kutz and big star Benga. Like this wasn't enough, Obey got the chance to properly end the evening back 2 back with Mr. Oi! himself aka Gomes.

His impressive perfomances at 50Hurtz & Oi! got him another major gig. This time at Hollands biggest dubstep rave: Resist. Together with Miro, he was invited to warm up the main room (which allows 4000 people) at the historical 'Klokgebouw'.

Besides national gigs, Obey received his first international booking in October 2012. Once again, not one of the least: Goonie Island, Brighton (gb)

2012 has certainly shown to be the year of Obey's big breakthrough.

Next to being a dj, Obey produces as well. He already produced several tunes, of which one has been released on the free compilation 'Access FM Presents: Full Access'. His remix of Skoop – Baby Pupu finisht 3rd in the official remix competition. There's still one tune forthcoming this year, a contribution to the Christmas EP which is being released by the Access Booking Agency.

For 2013, he has planned multiple collabs with Nippsey (gb), Styn, Phex, Jerks and more! Obey is currently working hard on his first official release.

Next year is looking promising already for Obey, with different shows booked in for the year 2013.
