Biografie
Brian Loui John is one of the most promising dutch artists of the moment. Since he almost literally was made, born and raised in the clubscene, it was only a matter of time that he became active in the scene himself. At the age of 17 he finally bought his first turntables on Ebay.
The sound he loved the most was the old school "Chicago/Detroit house" DJ Sneak sound, therefore almost 70% of the vinyl's he bought had a Chicago/Detroit twist to it.
Almost right from the start he had the full support of Rotterdam based hero Benny Rodrigues. This was the man who basically taught him everything he knew in the first years and helped him with loads of feedback and eventually invited him back in 2006 to be his guest on his very own clubnight "Benny & Guests" in a popular club based in Eindhoven. After some time he finally became one of the resident DJ's of superclub the Matrixx in Nijmegen. Which is the best club in the Netherlands according to Tiesto and Laidback Luke and one of the best clubs in the world according to the recently released DJ Mag top 100 for clubs.
The first 4 years of his career Brian was known by the name "Motherfunker" and shared the DJ booth with worldstars like Martin Solveig, Felix da Housecat, Steve Angello, Dennis Ferrer, Afrojack and many more.
Early 2010 he changed his name because he was bored of his cheesy funky name and changed it to Brian Loui John, simply because it's his real name.
The style he playes today can be described as a combination of deephouse, progressive, techhouse and everything in between. Besides that Brian is known to never play it safe, since he loves to take risks and challenge himself when he's DJ'ing (Technically that is!). Therefore his sets are very dynamic and uplifting with lots of energy.
At the end of 2010 he joined forces in the studio with worldwide highly respected DJ/Producer Rene Amesz. This collaboration resulted in his first official release called 'Let your soul fly free'. This track was released on Roger Sanchez' imprint Stealth Records and Roger supported this track by putting it on his "Release Yourself '11" CD. As a direct result of this one of Europe's leading music publishing companies, Talpa Music, offered him a contract.
Brian is currently working on a lot of big musical projects which will take off in 2014.
Without a doubt… Brian is here to stay!
