Biografie
Electronmike's career started in the early 90's and boy has he been busy! During this time he has proved his professionalism in many aspects of this music scene. Inspired, Mike knew that the music industry was his professional calling! He defined and honed his music to create his very own style of techno through the careful selection of tracks and the unique way in which he performs!
As one of the first Austrian based artists, he wrote for two years for Raveline - Germany's biggest electronic music magazine - reporting on music events and releases. It was here that he developed his first impressions of the electronic music scene! Later Mike founded the legendary ElectronMike Team, one of the first collectives for Dj's and events worldwide for this genre in the 90's. This led to another first - the development of a techno music based website which took a remarkably short time to receive 1.000.000 hits and a new era was born!
Mike's experience and talent in this new era grew as he initially took part in and then organised raves and events, whilst in turn, supporting and developing new talent. This culminated in being part of the production team for Loveparade Gmbh in Vienna. Not only was he part of the organisational side of the event but he also participated three times with his own truck in the parade!
Over the following years Mike crossed the Austrian border to step into the worldwide scene, more than making his mark by playing at a huge number of globally renowned top name locations and touring with the acclaimed DJ Rush. Taking the honour for being the first Austrian to do so, Mike also performed at the legendary I love techno event in Belgium, Nature One Century Circus in Germany (twice), Sound Base a Nest Utsonomiya Japan, Solfa Tokio, u60311 in Frankfurt, Circus Nation Festival Spain, Amate Raxi Tokio Japan, Soundtropolis Festival Poland and Florida 135 in fraga. He has also performed numerous times at the well known Tresor Club in Berlin. This is only a fraction of his performances to date!!
Having both international appeal and fan base, grafting Mike has racked up appearances in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. Like we said - a busy boy!
Furthermore Mike has released his music on labels such as kiddaz fm, kne'deep records, bikini records, tk records, clubland records, citylife records, naked lunch, play with us records, decade of techno, abstract, killaz, 6 feet under and, most recently, Heavy Snatch Records from the UK.
As well as his own releases, Mike's music has also featured on top compilations such as: Sunshine Live (7 times), Ruhr in Love "das Elektronische Familienfest" Compilation, Syndicate, Samuel Sanders La Bush France, Lagoa 16th Birthday Compilation, The Best in Techno Vol.3, Lenny Dee Hard Disc Version, Felix Kröcher & DJ Rush U60311 Compilation…
Most recently Mike started an exciting new project with global player Frank Kvitta called Superheroes. Under the guise of Superheroes they are to regularly release EP's on Frank's label - the much respected Frank Kvitta Records. Besides releasing together, they also plan a special, rare live DJ performance based on the sound of the Superheroes. More on that in the near future ladies and gentleman.
