DJ Deego's origins begin in the era of vinyl DJing.

Way back in the year 2001, after getting a couple of mismatched Stanton turntables and a second-hand Numark mixer, DJ Deego's life-long obsession with the decks began. Having already been playing the guitar for about 8 years at that point, and having played in a punk band in high school, he already knew that his passion for music was deep. But after going to his first rave in a grimy Los Angeles warehouse in late 2000, he knew what he needed to do...

Throughout the early 2000's, DJ Deego continued to develop his mixing skills, along with learning music production, audio engineering, and sound design. While never wanting to "pigeonhole" himself by spinning a specific genre, and always keen to try mixing any new record he could get his hands on, he did find his musical "happy-place" in Drum & Bass, Trance & Downtempo. Around this time he also founded Outta Nowhere, an event production crew that threw raves throughout the LA area. Over time, he found more demand for his production and engineering skills than for his parties and he eventually opened and operated a small music studio, offering a recording space along with his production and engineering services. He took on projects ranging from punk, hip-hop, indie rock, EDM, gospel, and even some sound for film projects before eventually closing shop around 2015.

Now in 2025, after a 10 year hiatus from music, DJ Deego is back!
