Biografie
Motivo is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer originally from Athens, Greece. He moved to Amsterdam to pursue his studies but soon became immersed in the city's vibrant electronic music scene.
Shaped by the sounds of the early 2000s, the pulse of Amsterdam's techno culture and the evolving movements in both Amsterdam and Berlin, Motivo developed a distinct sound rooted in hypnotic rhythms, dark, immersive atmospheres and trippy effects. Countless hours spent digging through music platforms and losing himself on dancefloors helped him refine his musical identity and discover his true voice as an artist.
Growing up during Greece's financial crisis, he witnessed inequality and uncertainty from a young age; experiences that continue to influence his outlook and creative expression. As a founding member of the Kinitra collective, he organizes fundraising events and supports initiatives that address social issues through music and community action.
Motivo's DJ sets are known for their emotional depth and immersive storytelling, guiding crowds into deeper states of consciousness and offering a true journey on the dancefloor. With the release of his debut EP on Xelima Records and a growing catalog of unreleased tracks, his music has already gained support from notable artists such as Richie Hawtin, Anika Kunst and AgainstMe, making him a rising talent to watch from close.
