Philip Vermeulen

Philip Vermeulen is an upcoming artist based in The Hague, graduated at the ArtScience Interfaculty (Royal Conservatory & Royal Academy of Arts, NL). He builds immersive, performative installations and provoking experiences that push one's senses in altered states. Vermeulen dissects primary phenomena, like light, sound and movement. He discovers and isolates the various characteristics of these phenomena, and questions how he can maximize (or minimize) them. He creates parameters to control and compose with these characteristics; he plays and fights them as he goes. Just as Vermeulens way of working, his mind-altering installations are on a tension field of attraction and delirium.
