DJ Tunez musical exposure started from listening to his father's vast collection of Afro music. From the beginning, he was captivated by the effect music had on people, as well as the different emotions it evoked. Brought up in a household with both African and Caribbean influences, he was exposed to a multitude of musical genres.
At the age of 11 Tunez learned how to play the drums, ultimately playing for the church band. It was at this time where he learned how to mix music, accompanying his father to different church events where he provided speakers and played music. He later went on to DJ at churches, as well as other small events on his own. He cultivated this hobby for years, which led to the manifestation of his skill set eventually leading others to take notice of his talent. As of today, he has toured the east coast performing at events from Atlanta to New England.
