Biografie
At the tender age of 4, Tabitha Nauser knew she was destined to be in the spotlight.
Coming from a musically inclined family, Tabitha was exposed to Jazz, Soul and Classical music by her parents, which in turn, led to her deep love for singing and music.
With the guidance of her family, Tabitha participated in numerous singing competitions and modeling work while juggling school, but it was only in 2009 when she participated in the nation-wide talent search "Singapore Idol" that she received her big break. A natural born performer, she won the hearts of the public and industry experts alike, aptly dubbing her the "complete package".
Since then, she has come a long way. This striking young lady of Swiss-Indian parentage took her first step into the international spotlight when she was appointed to represent Asia to sing the Official Theme Song of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, titled "Everyone", alongside international pop artist Sean Kingston. With an international audience of 1.2 billion during the Opening Ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games, she was further catapulted as a world-class performer.
She has performed at the Mosaic Music Festival 2013, President's Star Charity 2014, National Day Parade 2014, Celebrate TV 50 (Countdown to 2015) and various other televised talk shows and charity shows. Tabitha is poised to be stepping into the international spotlight yet again as she has been chosen to be the singer of the official theme song for Sea Games 2015, which she debuted at the Official Launch Party for the Sea Games in 2014. But in typical Tabitha fashion, the 22 year old is constantly looking for new opportunities to challenge herself and her craft. In the past 2 years, Tabitha has shown a great talent in theatre acting, TV presenting and radio DJ-ing.
In 2012, Tabitha made her theatre debut, alongside veteran theatre actors like Jacintha Abisheganaden, in the Esplanade's highly acclaimed and sold out 10th Anniversary Celebrations' musical "National Broadway Company". Her role as the young Jacintha was met with faultless reviews. It's safe to say, that after this encounter with the stage, Tabitha's love for theatre was deeply rooted.
In 2014, she took the stage yet again in a remake of the venerable Dick Lee's popular 1997 musical "Hotpants" alongside Denise Tan and Nikki Muller. With her role as Sharon De Souza, she wowed audiences with her comic timing and "Singlish" accent.
Aside from her theatre work, Tabitha also holds the role of radio presenter on Singapore's premier pop music station 987FM, after winning the nation-wide competition "987FM Radio Star" in 2013. Her radio career has brought her the opportunity to travel to London and Australia and to host her own show "Turn Up with Tabitha Nauser" from 12noon to 4pm weekdays.
And lastly, to complete the entertainment trio, Tabitha is also a TV host. Her embark into television, began last year (2013) when she worked with Singtel's Mio TV to host 3min football update segments. Currently, she hosts her own 1 hour football review show called "Goals HQ" on Mio Stadium, where she is the youngest presenter on Mio, alongside veteran hosts Jamie Yeo and Richard Lenton.
This year as well, Tabitha received the opportunity to be a roving reporter for the exclusive coverage of the World Cup 2014. Her involvement in the World Cup garnered an international following and she received praise for her quick-on-her-feet presenting style and football knowledge. Tabitha is definitely a jack-of-all-trades and a master of them all too. With her continued thirst to learn, challenge and better herself, the future looks bright for this young determined lady. We can be sure to expect only great things from this star!
