Kimberly Fransens

Idols 5 has delivered The Netherlands a new pop artist. Her name is Kimberly Fransens. Kimberly wants to touch people with her voice, tell a story, but also make a party out of her performances, combining killer vocals, personality and attitude. Singer Eva Simons dubbed her a 'power woman.'
"Here is an idol" said Presenter and Former Radio DJ Martijn Krabbé. "What a voice and what a performance, this is a super star" screamed Jamai Loman (the first Dutch Idols Winner). "Kimberly is a true Idol's Idol as is intended." She's a whole package: the voice, the looks and performance.

Kimberly (born in 1992) had 'it' from early on, already clear that she wanted nothing more than to stand on stage and entertain people. She began her musical career as a little girl in professional musicals like 'The Sound of Music' and' Annie.' At age 15, she enrolled at the Academy for Music and Dance and Kim developed into a fully-fledged artist who had only one goal: to make music and to perform.
At the Conservatory of Rotterdam, Kimberly (then 18) she quickly realised she wanted to be active in the industry more than she was allowed to by school. She stopped training and participated in 'The Voice of Holland' where they won the wild card by Radio 538 and ended up in the team of (ex Dolly Dots singer) Angela Groothuizen. After just a little taste of the music biz, Kimberly knew for sure she wanted to go for a solo career.

In the 2015/2016 season, Kimberly was seen in the puppet theater 'Jeans 25' and toured with this along the Dutch theaters. In February 2016, she decided to go on a new adventure in the comeback of the mother of all talent shows: IDOLS, putting on a memorable act with a rendition of 'Stone Cold' live in a full bathtub which went viral on social media. She sailed through all live shows, ending up in the final where she came runner up releasing her first single, the catchy pop song 'How Bad.'
The live shows of Idols gave just a glimpse of what she can do and now more than ever she's ready to show the country and the world just who she is. Pop is about to be refreshed. Get ready for Kim!
