Techno has always been strong in Belgium, even when certain people said it wasn’t. A steady flow of talented artists is what kept the scene interesting enough and underground in a Belgian kind of way. And on that stream one of the waves has been Coincidence Records.
They are back at Kompass for the fifth edition of their Klubnacht. Since the label prides itself on wanting you to discover new and raw talent, they are going to put the music up there for free and introduce you to:
Anastasia Kristensen (Mord, Copenhagen, DK)
Uncompromising. It’s the word that comes back everytime you read or hear about this upcoming Techno mastermind. It’s not done to compare so we won’t. But her dj sets are a fantastic blend of brutally hitting Techno, breaks and elektro that she weaves into a very unique style, blending influences and turning every set into a pure discovery. Believe me when I say this woman will soon be on the biggest lineups around the globe. But for now: let us introduce her to you. Or check out her awesome podcast on Resident Advisor.
TRiXY (Decadance, KNTXT)
Truly one of Belgium’s leading Techno DJs and renowned for her relentless sets and unrivaled stamina. This force of nature with a kind heart is back at Kompass after she killed it at Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT at Kompass, closing the massive Kabelbaan after Dave Clarke. Once again she will not disappoint.
Psytox (Coincidence Records)
The Coincidence label boss has been playing since 1989 and fiercely has been defending his love for Techno for all those years. Outspoken, driven, slightly off his rockers but always staying on the move, this survivor of the 90ies, 00ies and 10ies will once again bring some nifty Techno to the table.
Corvus Ex (Kompass)
The latest discovery of future talent in Kompass. Exploring the infinite depths of Techno. Always looking for the essence of it, the rave extract.
