IKS:
IKS is a soulful pop band featuring young, talented international musicians based in Amsterdam. They play some of their favorite tunes in new arrangements for their setting. With the uncommon set up of three voices together with bass and guitar, they make the tunes sound like their own. Inspired by artist such as Thirdstory, D'Angelo and Lianne La Havas they create an intimate and feel-good atmosphere. They just released two videoclips, had their radio debut in September and there is more exciting stuff to come.
Semey Group:
Cutting edge modern jazz with a scandinavian touch. International line up with some of the most heavy cats in town. Their compositions stretch the limits of the contemporary jazz vocabulary while maintaining a sonorous quality. Teis and his band recently won the Prinses Christina Concours, scored a second prize at the Leiden Jazz Award, performed live on NPO Soul and Jazz and have been invited to give a masterclass at the Boston School of Music.
