A night of atmospherical, soulful & liquid funk drum&bass hosted in De Silo, Groningen on 4th of December 2015.
Our goal is to showcase DJ’s who have feeling with liquid funk and are capable of setting a sustainable groove (1-2 hours) during “ Elevated”. The music concerns the common liquid funk, but also the (deep) atmospherical and soulful side of drum&bass. Hence, the elongated play time. This way DJ’s can build character and experiment more. We encourage our DJ’s to rock the crowd's world.

Other characteristics of this night are the venue, intended audience and time. The Silo is a place that embraces a low key, cosy & underground atmosphere, where you can feel the jazz, funk & soul. Maybe, even a little bit of disco… Opening times are from 9:00 pm till 3:00 am, different from many other venues in Groningen. This has to do with the intended audience and the low key atmosphere.
The evening will start with Syze, former resident and co-founder of Champion Sound (Leiden). Followed by two well-known figures from the Groningen drum&bass scene, Flark & Tauchyon from Beats ‘n Breaks. Both Tauchyon and Flark will lock you into their grooves for longer than you are used to.

We feel that this liquid funk vibe deserves a lot more attention than it currently gets in the Groningen area and hope to see you on the 4th of December!
