Live acts in de vooravonden in Sugarfactory tijdens ADE

Liefde voor elektronische live muziek in al haar facetten krijgt een plek in de vooravonden tijdens Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in Sugar Factory. In de club nabij Leidseplein staan tussen 14 en 18 oktober een presentatie van Arturia synthesizers, vooruitstrevend theater tijdens Modalities en samenwerkingen met Comport Records, Various Artists en Houndstooth. Van live-electronica geluiden in tech-house, experimental tot hip hop en meer. Verder wordt iedere nacht en tijdens drie afterparty's ADE in volle teugen gevierd.
During the Saturday evening of this year’s ADE, we've invited Houndstooth, label of London’s legendary Fabric club, to showcase three live-acts from their roster.
Ever since their first release in 2013 the label has been at the forefront of leftfield electronica, focussing solely on artist-led projects.
Listening to their releases, you can clearly hear the musical ethos of Fabric, yet it ventures way beyond the dancefloor domain.

Throwing Snow
While genres are not a consistent factor in Ross Tones musical career, quality certainly is. Under his Throwing Snow moniker, he presents a unique blend of dubstep, house, techno and post-rock.
After a series of acclaimed releases on labels like Local Action, Ho Tep, Sneak er Social Club and his own Snowfall imprint, Tones has since signed an exclusive album deal with Houndstooth.

Aïsha Devi
The latest addition to the Houndstooth family immediately gained high acclaim with her Conscious Cunt EP, in which she, as cited from Fact Mag, meditates on “sluts, death, awareness and women”.
Devi’s warped pop mantras instruct us to find the unseen through a tense, visceral musical landscape that is often gnarled and industrial as it is danceable.

Second Storey
Second Storey represents the left-field side of bass music, creating his own aesthetic as a whole. Over the years Storey has emerged and evolved somewhat from the self-styled ‘swamp music’ of his early days, building and growing his artistic palette as he feasted on the influence of people like Portishead, Metalheadz and Herbie Hancock
