BEN SIMS (Theory, UK)
With over 20 years experience under his belt, Ben Sims has a well-deserved reputation as one of the world's most in-demand and leading techno DJs - a tight, energetic mixer who skilfully weaves together his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hardgrooves, often using three-deck wizardry and plenty of dexterity. RANDOMER (White Label, UK)
In a short time, North Londoner Randomer has built up a small but heavy hitting catalogue of work – releasing ‘Brunk’ (on Hessle Audio’s 116 & Rising compilation), the acid tinged ‘Obtuse’ and most recently his dance mania-on-steroids EP for Numbers, 'Real Talk'." His debut for Hemlock Recordings found him taking things even further back to basics, dropping two heavyweight trax of pure beats and bassline indulgence. With more uncompromising raw cuts to follow this year Randomer is set to redefine the boundaries of House, Techno and Jungle.
ABDULLA RASHIM (Northern Electronics, SW)
Submerged in both rhythm and mystery, Abdulla Rashim's shadowy aesthetic floats in balance with his uncompromising work. Wholly dedicated to his ideas and sound, Rashim's quest for renewal and the importance of his craft has reflected well both internationally and locally, where he is praised alike. A listening ear and pure emotion is what his rhythms demand and what keeps him on top of his mission.
