Enzyme Records Tour 2015
Thursday 2nd April - Easter Long weekend.
OPHIDIAN
Conrad Hoyer started his musical career between 1998 and 2001.
In 2001he decided to drop the Trypticon-project and concentrate on producing as Ophidian, focussing on slower hardcore, with more techno and electronic music influences. Enzyme started a sub-label called Enzyme X on which more experimental hardcore could be released, which came as a blessing because it provided exactly the space that Conrad needed to define himself and his style. From this moment on progression was fast, and he released quite a number of tracks including his first solo-album, Ophidian - Blackbox, in 2003. This album was groundbreaking at the time, was never repressed and has now become a cult legend.
His biggest break until now came in 2004 when he remixed one of the bonus-tracks of the Blackbox cd, Butterfly, for the new Enzyme VIP label. Butterfly VIP was a massive hit, was played at so many parties around the world, and was featured on so many compilation cd's that for anyone remotely into hardcore this track was impossible to miss. With this success in the pocket, Conrad started to work on his next, two-part cd album called Betrayed by Daylight.
In 2005 Conrad’s mission was clear: produce different styles and try to top himself in each respective style, be it mainstream hardcore, dark, experimental hardcore, hard techno, breakcore or IDM.

HAMUNAPTRA
Atmospherical drone sounds combined with powerful kickdrums and sharp edged synths, when Hamunaptra steps behind the decks he drops it dark and raw!
Well known for tracks like ’Whispers Of A Nameless Fear’, ‘Neon Genesis Part 1 (Yataaah!)’, 'Lymitz' and 'Stalked by Death' this Enzyme legend has worked with a couple of serious names in the scene and has played internationaly as Hamunaptra and Enzyme X on the biggest events.
Belgium, Switserland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Australia...there is no country with an active hardcore scene where this powerhouse has not dropped his heavy hitters.
After a few years of silence, he recently came back with a new release, Beyond dusk and dawn, which was the hardcore anthem of Groundzero Festival 2014 (written together with Ophidian).
As of late, loud rumbling has been heard comming from his studio...so more music is to be expected. Raw darkcore with an Industrial twist is his personal flavor and he likes to spread that dark taste when he spins his tunes.

SYNAPSE
At the age of approximately eight Timo started taking drum lessons. Although he liked playing the drums a lot, he didn’t like the obligatory exercises. When he went to high school (age 12) he switched from drums to a 286 pc.Instantly hooked on Fasttracker, Timo alias DJ Dudgeon mixed his first songs using the onboard pc-speaker. Since Ft was only 8 bit, had no effects, no automation whatsoever, he had to be very creative. Searching for samples in other mods, recording the sound of his zipper and sampling the hum of a cable that wasn’t plugged in correctly were a few ways to get that unique sound he was looking for.Reaching the age of nineteen he felt like buying a couple of belt driven turntables and started to buy hardcore records. (Actually he felt like buying the SL-1200’s instead but he simply didn’t have the money). He really enjoyed spinning hardcore at home but also wanted to check out other styles. Especially drum ‘n bass drew his attention. After spending a lot of money on new records and practicing a lot, he got some bookings at small clubs in The Hague using the name Dj Dudgeon. In 2001 he started a study Sound Design at the School of Arts in Utrecht (HKU). It was there where he met Jan Kamphuis (Sei2ure) whom happened to live in The Hague as well. Jan had a drum ‘n bass live act named Sunflower and soon Timo joined. He was responsible for the more raw none vocal tracks. After a period of time Timo and Jan decided to continue together as a hardcore live act. This was due the fact that their drum ’n bass performances had a tendency to become rougher and harsher anyway (often ending with 180 bpm hardcore madness and even faster unintended terror). After sending a few demos they both signed a contract with Cardiac Music. Timo joined the Enzyme crew in 2004 and Synapse was a fact. In that same year he released his first track on Enzyme K7-5 called “Renoised Sine”. Nowadays Timo wants to focus on the more experimental / intelligent hardcore, but won’t neglect other styles either.
