The first edition of Micron with Nicole Moudaber was exactly what we were aiming for: bring quality Techno in a club environment. Our home turf Café d’Anvers turned out to be the perfect place: an openminded crowd, a brand new Pioneer soundsystem and a fantastic vibe throughout the night.
Time to soldier on into 2015, as Sweet Trade and Coincidence Records bring you the second edition, and this time we unite the craft and skills of a pioneer of Techno with the upcoming talents of the belgian scene.
◉ ● BEN SIMS ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ben-Sims/60542184918 ) - London UK
With over 20 years experience under his belt, Ben Sims has a well-deserved reputation as one of the world's most in-demand and leading techno DJs - a tight, energetic mixer who skilfully weaves together his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hardgrooves, often using three-deck wizardry and plenty of dexterity.

Throughout that time, the man has honed his reputation as a tight, energetic mixer who skilfully weaves together his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hardgrooves, often using three-deck wizardry and plenty of dexterity. Be it at clubs like Fabric London, Atomic Jam, Berghain, Florida 135, or any number of festivals around the world, Sims' sets are powerful, memorable, and unique, while constantly pushing the boundaries of a DJ set - utilising a mesmerizing blend of vinyl, CDs, and software.
As well as carving a reputation as one of the world's leading techno DJs, Ben has curated many of his own revered labels over the years. Chief amongst them is Theory - an imprint this year celebrating it's 40th release, that counts amongst it's supporters contemporary connoisseurs like Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, and the old guard of Dave Clarke, Robert Hood, Rolando and more - proof, then, that Sims is on the form of his life production wise.
Sims has put his name to more than 50 releases in the last two decades. During those years, there has also been a steady stream of high profile remixes of scene heavyweights, including Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer, Kevin Saunderson and Chris Liebing, on labels du jour like AXIS, KMS, CLR and Drumcode, all of which have won as much critical praise as they have crossover success.
Despite his veteran status in the scene, Sims has always been keen to evolve. Alongside Kirk Degiorgio, he is co-founder & curator of Machine - a clubnight which focuses on new, unreleased, & upfront music; it's primary home in London, but with editions all across Europe each year.
Quite simply, if you know techno, you know Ben Sims. (Source: Resident Advisor)

◉ ● A.BREHME ( https://www.facebook.com/AnroBrehme/ ) Technoon, Fuse - Brussels
A. Brehme is a DJ and producer who is born and raised in Brussels. An audiophile with a worrying obsession about music who gradually developed a definite personal approach with a firm focus on deep atmospheres and hypnotic vibes enveloping the last twenty years of musical history.
Since the age of twenty he's a regular guest at one of Europe's most renowned techno clubs Fuse in Brussels, generally as a support dj for Ostgut Ton or Drumcode label nights. The rest of Belgium soon followed: in growing numbers he performed at intimate venues all over the country and abroad, and large events such as I Love Techno, Doomsday Festival, and City Parade. Brehme made his first release on Coincidence Records in 2014.
As a resident dj at the booming Sunday afternoon concept Technoon in Brussels and the infamous Hertz nights in Antwerp, he proves that he excels in constructing both short, profound and lengthy intensifying sets wether it’s as a warm-up act, during peak time slots or throughout late morning closing sessions.

◉ ● RENEE ( https://www.facebook.com/renee.antwerp ) - Antwerp
There is no need for a romantic tale of musical heritage to be told here. Presumably most promising artists have deeply rooted feelings for what they do anyway. Let us only speak of the known facts. The personal vita.
Renee - also known as Amélie Lens is a very discerning belgian. She has an obsession for telling stories through radical cones of sound. She exhausts search engines looking for new material to create the narrative. Constantly defining the parameters within resources and time, she plots to unleash well-timed, dramatic and super-tense climaxes. She relies only on herself for the dispersion of these decisive moments, but subconsciously it spreads like a virus throughout the crowd which makes everyone an accomplice in a way.

◉ ● SVEMIRSKI ( https://www.facebook.com/djsvemirski/ ) Coincidence, Sweet Trade - Bruges
Micron Resident Svemirski (or Psytox or Norman Bates) has been dj'ing since 1989 on parties throughout Belgium and the neighboring countries. Rather than being pigeonholed into one style of music, he mixes very eclectic sets, including elements of acid, house, techno, deephouse, minimal, breakz, dubstep, d'n'b,... . It has brought him to a wide variety of venues in different scenes.
He played at various events such as Tomorrowland, Extrema Outdoor, KozzMozz, Lost Theory Festival , Retro Acid, Thé Dansant, MuZZiC, Intenze (with Andre Galluzzi), Minimalicious (with Andrew Weatherall), Rave Our Souls,… and venues like Cafe d'Anvers, Fuse, Chalet (Berlin), Decadance or Silo, where he has been playing extensive sets (up to 15 hours straight) filled with Techno, House, Acid and anything in between.
Together with Edward Molton he also founded his own imprints Coincidence and Forteana Records. He also produces and releases on those labels as well as Tic Tac Toe Records and Tom Dazing’s Thrill Recordings.
