♦ GARY BECK (Bek Audio, Soma Records, SCO)
Gary Beck is regarded as one of the most prolific and inventive producers in the current electronic music scene. Renowned for his own unique sound, Gary is currently in high demand all over the world , playing at some of the most respected clubs and Festivals.
After spending previous years releasing on labels such as Drumcode, Saved and Cocoon, he now concentrates fully on his own label BEK Audio. With a back catalogue of artists such as Mr. G, Dj Rush, Mark Broom & Speedy J, BEK has developed into one of the strongest Techno labels around.
Following the release of his well-received album ‘Bring A Friend' on Soma Records , 2013 has seen some of Gary's best releases to date, including the massive ‘Video Siren'.
With a successful Boiler room set and a BBC Radio 1 essential mix under his belt, Gary's popularity continues to go from strength to strength. After having him at Fade In Festival last year and a couple of times at Fuse already, we are more than eager to have him back at the club!
♦ SLAM live (Soma Records, SCO)
In the past two decades, Slam have defined techno in Scotland, cultivated many artists of note on their Soma label, and remixed everyone from Daft Punk to Underworld. The legendary UK duo, comprising of Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle, have travelled far and wide, leaving scorch marks on dance-floors worldwide, touring Australia, the USA, Europe, South America and Japan. They hold residencies at 3 of the UK's best clubs (Pressure & the Sub Club in their home town of Glasgow and Fabric in London).
The last few years have been the most prolific period in Slam’s career. Performing dynamic sets at many leading festivals including Time Warp, Mayday, Bestival, Glade, Awakenings, Glastonbury, Monegros and T In The Park. They have also played at some of the world’s best clubs including the legendary Womb in Tokyo, Cocoon in Frankfurt, Rex in Paris and Berlin's infamous Watergate and Berghain. Their Soma Records label hit its 20th birthday in 2011, which is a great achievement in any industry never mind the fickle music business. In this prestigious year Slam were also nominated as the ‘Greatest Dance Act of All Time’ in the institutional UK Dance music magazine Mixmag.
♦ STATE Of FLOW
“Have you ever been so engaged in an activity that you lost track of time or even your surroundings? A bomb could of gone off and you wouldn’t have noticed? That’s called “flow” – a state of consciousness where we experience a task so deeply that it truly becomes enjoyable and satisfying.”
STATE Of FLOW is how Igor Vicente named his fresh new residency party at famous Fuse club, renowned for his past Wildfamily's, he gained through this experience a great exposure about how to bring it to the dancefloor and offering young names (which are not anymore) like Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, tINI, Guy Gerber, Nick Curly, Dyed Soundorom, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves and Bill Patrick just to name a few…
Fuse will be upgraded to a 'SOF - State of Flow' configuration involving interactivities and connections. It will be our space, our rhythm, our flow.
For this edition he has invited the legendary Bill Patrick. In America, specifically NYC, Bill Patrick is a man of many accolades... Since his days as a DJ in clubs such as The Limelight, Vinyl & Arc, he has charmed our hearts and moved our bodies. Not to mention being co-founder of the famed Robots parties and amusing us weekly as Robot Radio's alluring and witty host. Within the world of electronic music everyone has a tale about our friend Bill Patrick. Some funny, some sad, some tragic, most shady, but at the end of each story or any encounter with this demi god you're left wanting more.
