"It's the groove, that makes all the Natives suddenly go wild"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As one half of the infamous El Mundo & Satori duo, Satori emerged to the club scene around 2007, producing hits that filled the floors of renowned clubs and festivals with ecstatic crowds.
Now it’s time to show his other side, that’s more about a counterweight to the sound that he normally plays alongside El Mundo. More organic, downtempo stuff. Music outside that dance framework, with the same influences as the songs he made in the early days.
U Know The Drill played a marvelous set at Slapfunk Records Release Party in the Doka. Whilst throwing our hands in the air at almost every mix, the Natives crew looked at each other and shouted simultaneously "9th of may, Chicago Social Club!” And here we are.
Final addition to the main-room are Mulla & Mailman. Besides being a major influence on the musical paths of the Native-chiefs, their profound love for classic-house music makes every gig with these Nomadic-boys special. Their great energy spreads like the beat of a great bass in your ears.
Opening the evening is the notorious Paco. From warm-up dj to closing act, our chief knows how to rock and groove the halls of Amsterdam. Shake his hand when you get the chance, he's down with that.
In the foyer, long-time acquaintances of Natives get the chance to do their thing yet again. Sam Azami is seen more and more as a dj to watch for the upcoming festival season. With his knowledge for banging records and laid-back attitude, he always puts on a groove.
Wetselaar en van Gunst are one of the most enthusiastic acts we know. They swag and sway all the time during their appearance, and leave you dancing with a smile.
Let's go to the Chicago Social Club, the Natives are back for another dance around the fire.
