On June 8th Sober Music returns with their third edition of Sobar at Bar. After two editions with mainly classic deephouse vibes we decided for this edition to go UK all the way. We’ve invited UK rising stars ‘Dauwd’ & ‘Eliphino’ to play next to our own artists Shobba. & Bluntspeakers.

Dauwd creates music with complexity most contemporary producers shy away from. Dauwd gained support from the biggest names in the scene for his early releases which led to headlining club shows all around the Uk and Europe and ofcourse not to forget last years’ amazing Boiler Room session (http://boilerroom.tv/dauwd-50-min-mix/). Releases like ‘What’s there’ became instant classics and his new ‘Heat Division’ EP is just off the hook! We are very pleased to have Dauwd over to play at Sobar.

Eliphino started, like many producers, making beats at a young age. His first productions were strongly influenced by hiphop artists like Madlib and other LA experimentalists. After moving to London Eliphino got more into that house and garage sound which led to a signing on Gilles Petterson’s Brownswood Electric compilation, remixing a wide range of artists within the same field, releasing the ‘Undivided Whole’ EP on ‘somethinksounds’ and a track on Manchester based label ‘hoya hoya’ alongside Lone and Ras G. Eliphino’s djsets are always an eclectic mix of hiphop, garage, house, dancehall and jungle. Looking forward seeing this man turning Sobar on fire.

Shobba., a man apart. Shobba. really got his own sound going on that is influenced by the uk bass and house sound but you can also hear his passion and love for detroit back in his productions. His ‘Bittersweet’ track gets released this year on the Sober Music imprint. Be aware of this little giant as he has a lot of great stuff coming up this year.

Bluntspeakers gained loads of love for his ‘Cocaine White Tiger’ EP, released earlier this year. A rare 3-tracker of uk influenced bass and beats. This is only the beginning of what this man is up and able to. An album release is on the way and more releases on Sober Music as well.
