Aaah, the ladies - aren’t we all fond of dem ladies? And as it happens, we at Redevice think we have a knack for sorting out some of the finest missus the contemporary techno scene has to offer. Whether they have to be imported from Berlin & Frankfurt like Mayaan [aka Ms Fitz] and Vera, or if it’s Sandrien and Mirella Kroes from plain old Amsterdam, one things for sure: on the 19th of February 2011 underground club Studio 80 will be rocking to some profound spaced-out female grooves.

Behind front-are the decks:
Mara Trax is a project of Maayan Nidam and Vera Heindel. Their passion for raw, old school house grooves built the foundation for collaborative productions and performances. Mixing dance music’s penchant for deepness with the old school tracks that they are consciously evoking, the team is leading a new deep movement especially springing up around the cities of Frankfurt and Mannheim.
The idea of connecting classic, old school sounds with new influences – is what they’re all about. Before meeting in Berlin a few years ago, Vera and Miss Fitz were each forging their own path in the electronic music world – and they still are: each plays out just as often solo as they do together. When the two get together, though, something special happens!

Sweating up the backroom:
Sandrien is probably one of the biggest rising stars of the Dutch dance scene. Her sparkling personality in combination with her qualities as a DJ, brought amongst the top of techno DJ’s in Holland over the last couple of years.
Her sets are always surprising and full of energy, she is known for her talent of fine tuning with the audience, which in return is known for loosing it when Sandrien plays her mixture of minimal techno and deep-and-dirty freaky sounds.

A recent rising star of Amsterdam’s thriving underground clubscene is Mirella Kroes, who has been rocking dancefloors across the Netherlands for the last three years. Combining her unmatched radiance behind the decks with a superb taste for the warmer side of house and techno, Mirella is rapidly gaining support with a growing audience.

Keepin’ it all together:
Funk-laden narcotic grooves, tight, uncompromising and with bags of flavour, hosts & pimpdaddies Pep & Frodo will be serving as beacons of the essential deeper side throughout the night.

Welcome aboard the elegant lunar sister module which is definitely space-, time- and style-expanding.
