Informatie
The Re:evolution Festival is all about empowerment and giving people the tools to stand for what they belief in, become part of their community and actively strive for the changes they want to see in this world.
In order to do this, the Festival will run on two lines:
During the Re:evolution organisations not only have the ability to connect closer to their contributors but also to other organisations - sharing challenges, inspirations, tips and tricks.
The day will be fun of interactions, workshops, music and fun, closed off with a unity walk and an amazing paint party - visualising our unity in diversity!
Lastly, all the money gathered during this Festival (mainly from the ticket sales to the closing party) will be distributed to the projects thats have been initiated during the workshops - making sure that they see the light of the day and continue after the event.
In order to do this, the Festival will run on two lines:
- Number one is about empowering and inspiring the individual by giving workshops, lectures, showing short movies, and providing music and a fun atmosphere. This will be facilitated and supported with anybody that has the need to share something about the things that touch them, be it food waste, environmentalism, integration etc; as well as several student initiatives and other local organisations with rather macro-political challenges. We want to transmit the message of the power of the here and now, the you and me - and the ability we all have to be a change maker.
- Next to that, we understand that in order for bottom-up movements to create a true impact, they need to be supported and empowered by institutions that strive for the same goals (just on a bigger scale). Therefore, we want to invite NGOs (international, national as well as local) to become part of this and to help the people reach the change they seek in this world. By doing so, we also help those institutions to understand the individuals needs and use their abilities to support the causes those organisations strive for, translating global causes into local initiatives. Next to that, we also ultimately bring NGOs closer together to other NGOs - sharing their ideas, ideals, challenges and inspirations - shifting NGOs from being seen as only institutions to practice altruism to incubators of change.
