Paul Woolford & Amber Mark link up on new single 'HEAT'
19 februari 2021
Omnipresent dance music favourite Paul Woolford has joined forces with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Amber Mark on new single 'HEAT', out 19th February via Ministry Of Sound. The song exudes alchemy and is also co-written by Celeste, forming a powerhouse wild-combination of talent.

A soaring, optimistic anthem that perfectly embodies Woolford's trademark touches — 'HEAT' expertly combines rousing piano chords and dramatic strings with Amber Mark's soul-drenched vocals - instilling a sense of hope and yearning for summer months.

It marks Woolford's first single release of 2021 and follows his recent reworks for Dua Lipa, New Order and multi-disciplinary designer/artist Virgil Abloh.

Woolford's now globally-recognised previous single, with Diplo and Kareen Lomax, 'Looking For Me', has gone platinum in the UK, 3 x platinum in Ireland, is currently Gold in Australia and has amassed more than 100 million combined streams. The song rocketed to #4 in the UK Official Chart, #1 in Ireland, was named as Annie Mac's Hottest Record as well as being her Tune Of The Week on BBC Radio 1, while peaking at #1 on the Shazam chart and also #1 on Shazam Discovery, whilst picking up huge amounts of airplay across Capital & Kiss. The song continues to be streamed over 10 million times each month.

Channeling a multifaceted style that implements sounds from hip-hop, R&B, soul and bossa nova, Tennessee-born Amber Mark received a Grammy nomination in the category of 'Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical' for 2017 debut album Head Over Heels. More recently she dropped three-track EP '1894', with Stereogum describing the title track as "a fun bounce of a song that sees Mark letting loose a little bit, imagining herself in a club at a time when we can't go to clubs". Woolford cites hearing Amber Mark's song 'Monsoon' as an instant classic and the spark for this collaboration.

After a career-defining 2020, Paul Woolford steps up into the new year with arguably his finest anthem yet.
