Biografie
Within the last few years, Saad Ayub has stepped onto Toronto's electronic music scene as an influential Trance DJ. Born and raised in Bangladesh, Saad began to spin at the age of 18, quickly creating his own brand of music and a strong group following. At a young age, he began to land headlining gigs and opened as the resident DJ for Ministry of Sound UK's World Tours in Bangladesh. It was in 2011, that Saad moved to Canada and discovered his talents could impact an entirely new audience.
Inspired by the fresh sound of psytrance and pure trance, Saad creates a euphoric blend of music to stimulate the body and mind. Combining the light and dark sides of the genre, he incorporates a distinctive pulsating sound that invigorates the audience and creates a charged atmosphere. Not limited to trance alone, his live sets has been known to mix drum and bass, and even add dub step elements to diversify his sound. As a resident DJ for two clubs, Toronto's Maison Mercer and RYZE, his following continues to grow with sold out shows every month.
In the last year alone, Saad has played on the trance stage of Canada's largest electronic music festival, Digital Dreams, and was invited to spin for fans at Insomniac's Nocturnal Wonderland in California. Each festival successfully expanded his fan base, while Nocturnal Wonderland provided the opportunity to make his international debut. Beyond his festival debuts, he has played over 50 shows, including Coldharbour and Anjunabeats nights, while opening and closing for the likes of Orjan Nilsen, Andrew Rayel, Super8 and Tab and Ilan Bluestone. His track with Complex Sound, titled Stay, reached the top 20 on Beatport psytrance chart and stayed there for 3 consecutive weeks. While his previous releases such as Ibiza Dreaming, Catharsis and St. Martin have reached the top 100 trance charts on beatport and were highly supported by various trance names including Giuseppe Ottaviani.
Saad's down-to-earth and genuine character helps keep his head in the game and allows him to stay in control of the groove that he so quintessentially captures as a performer. Alongside his performances, he looks forward to releasing new tracks in the future, and as his podcast reaches its 100th broadcast, you can be sure to expect to hear a lot more of Saad's name in 2015.
