Vic Light, otherwise known as V-i-C, is an up and coming Trance DJ based in Bournemouth in the United Kingdom.
He is best known for his Chunky Progressive and Epic Trance DJ'ing style, with the technical ability to smoothly change the flow of a set in any direction he pleases.
He first started DJ'ing in 2000 using a pair of Citronic Belt Drive turntables and in 2002 he played his first gig alongside legendary London Techno DJ, James 'Sterling' Moss. Since then he has gone on to play with some of the world's biggest Trance and Hard House DJ's such as Matt Hardwick, Judge Jules, Brian Kearney, Mat Zo, Lee Haslam, Jordan Suckley, Ben Gold, Sander van Doorn, Mike Foyle, Genix, JP & Jukesy, Andy Farley, Alex Kidd, The Organ Donors and many more.
After taking a 4 year break from DJ'ing, Vic has returned to the decks bigger and better than ever. In 2008 he started playing regularly for Trance and Hard House night Xstatic Vs. Deprivation in Birmingham, even going as far as gracing the main stage. In 2009, a 1 week holiday turned into 3 months in the clubbing paradise of Ibiza. Not only did he play all over the island, but also became a resident DJ for Trance and Hard House night Atomik, at the Boho Nightclub in San Antonio, regularly playing to crowds in the hundreds.
New Year's Eve 2009 saw him play at one of the biggest Trance and Hard House nights in the UK, Passion Vs Storm at the Legendary, Emporium Nightclub in Coalville.
2010 saw him achieve a residency at Bournemouth based trance night, Eternal Trance and many other nights across the country but at the end of the year, his dream finally came true when he was asked to play for the club where his passion was born, Slinky at the o2 Academy in Bournemouth.
In 2011 he was invited to become part of Slinky's NuBreed of DJ's and continues to appear at events such as Bring the Noise in Bristol, Xstatic in Birmingham and performing guest mixes for the Digital Remedy and Slinky Sessions podcasts.
Vic has already had an extremely busy year and continues to be booked for new events around the UK and across Europe including in Austra, early 2012 for the Powdergrooves brand (http://www.powdergrooves.com).
He has also teamed up with Gab and Enzo Calipa, otherwise known as Freedom Infinite to create the production collective known as Infinite Light. With their first productions soon to be complete, Vic Light is an up and coming DJ to watch very carefully.
