DJ Geoff Da Chef - Hardcore Fiend
Geoff Wainwright was born in Australia in 1969, beginning his DJ career in 1988 and established his own production label — Blown Records in 1994. His work has featured on: Cen-Core, Blown, Violent, Atomic Hardcore, Old Rope and many compilations.
Based in Sydney, his musical career started in 1988 in the clubbing scene and was an established DJ in the Taxi Club under the name Geoff Kay, later becoming a resident DJ at The Orient Hotel in The Rocks playing Acid-House. Involved in the Sydney Rave Scene since 1993, he was the first to drop Speedcore and French-Core in Sydney. during the late 90s he became the promoter and a regular DJ for the infamous Underground Distortion Parties.
In 1994 Geoff founded Blown Records, his production label. With the main platform for production being Ensoniq ASR10 sequenced with Cubase on ATARI ST.

Geoff Da Chef has done several International Tours; USA in 98 and 99/00, and The Netherlands, appearing on "Vive la French-Core" and UK playing "Oblivion" during 2014.

In Australia he is well known for Music Placement in his DJ sets, in Europe he is regarded as an old school Terror producer/DJ.

Influences include Pop Will Eat Itself, Ministry, Public Enemy, Marrs, Nitzer-Ebb, the Farm, DOA, to name the most significant ones. His style is brash, staunch, and in your face.
Current material presented in eclectic sets incorporating Breakcore, Hardcore, Dark Drum & Bass, and Speedcore. Geoff Da Chef - Hardcore Fiend is a purist and prefers to play Vinyl ONLY!
