Unlike discerning between two people comparing hand sizes and an unenthusiastic and seemingly slow motion high five, Winston Surfshirt is unmistakably idiosyncratic.
After tireless education on the lyrical labyrinth of life by his music's oddly coupled forefathers: John Lennon and the 3000th Andre, Winston Surfshirt is poised ready to spread his mellifluous Psychedelic Sex Funk Soul. Prior to this most recent of harmonious ventures, Winston Surfshirt's alternatively named projects have already stitched his sound firmly through the Australian music scene; including appearances at Sydney's Big Day Out and Homebake after recording an unreleased EP with Dave Jerden (Talking Heads, The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers). With his sights firmly set on expanding the incidence of musical interbreeding, Winston Surfshirt is to music as STI's are to sex, without them, it just wouldn't be as interesting.
