Stortion

Reggey Koorndijk (26) aka Stortion began in 2004 with the production of music. He was strongly influenced by hip hop, dubstep and uptempo electro, and with all these genres he created his own eclectic sound. In 2009 he came into contact with rapper D.Lipps and together they worked on his debut EP Above the Clouds. After the release, the duo took part in talent shows and contests such as Kunstbende, Most Wanted, the Grote Prijs van Nederland, where they made it to the final.

Because of the intensive cooperation with D.Lipps, Stortion came in conact with the Nebulon crew and label Samensterk. Not much later he joined the Nebulon group and he also signed to the recordcompany. Together they toured throughout the Netherlands and stormed stages as Roffest Festival Utrecht, Hip Hop in Duketown (Den Bosch), Definitie of Dopeheid (Tilburg), Mysteryland (Haarlemmermeer), Queensbridge (Amsterdam) and they were the opening act for Shady Records artist Yelawolf (Amsterdam). Under the supervision of Samensterk and Nebulon Stortion also brought three dubstep mixes from: Prototype full. 1,2 and 3.

Nowadays Stortion is primarily engaged in his own projects. He has a project running at Red Bull Studio Amsterdam and despite his occupied schedule, the young Amsterdammer is still busy making music. He has been

working for nine months on his instrumental debut EP which will be released soon. The producer is always updating by including image through his music so that an extra dimension is provided. Stortion has in recent years gained much experience, but is still not where he wants to be. According to him you must bring in bookings beyond the Dutch border so you can label your career as a success. As it happens, you'll meet influential people.
