Biografie
Zero Protocol is a duo consisting of Marco Kreeft and Gerard Bouland.
Marco has been listening to Hardstyle since 2005, back in 2005 he heard a Headhunterz track on a "Explosive Car Tuning" cd.
He liked it so much, that he had to find more tracks of Headhunterz and he found out it was a genre called "Hardstyle". After hearing more Hardstyle, Marco was sure of one thing: "This is my genre".
This was the moment Marco was sold to Hardstyle.
After going to hardstyle events for over 7 years Marco couldn't keep the love he had for this genre for his own, he had to share it. So he decided to become a Hardstyle DJ, he went under the alias of DJ Striker
As DJ Striker Marco played at several events, especially in his hometown Leiden.
Gerard first came in touch with Hardstyle in 2013. On his freshmen camp the board would wake the students with Hardstyle.
But he actually enjoyed it. One of his fellow students said that he should come with them to Qlimax.
He loved it so much that he wanted to try and make Hardstyle himself.
After visiting Hard Bass he was determined, he was going to produce Hardstyle!
After a few encounters, at several Hardstyle events, between the two. Marco and Gerard started to talk about hardstyle, share ideas, share their vision they have on the genre.
They found out they had a lot in common regarding Hardstyle.
They believe you shouldn't divide hardstyle in sub-genres. Hardstyle is Hardstyle and that's they way it should be.
So what these guys will bring you is a lot of diversity in their sets and tracks. Just as long as it fits their vision.
