Biografie
This new talent was born in the early 70's under the warm and tropical Sun of Suriname in South-America. Suriname is a ethnical mix of cultures from over the whole world, which influenced this DJ in his music style, feel and experiencing. For example the warm tropical sounds of the Caribean, the fast uptempo African beats, the melody of the Indonesian gamelang. Growing up with so many variety in music is a blessing. This blessing is what Ronn-Sastro is bringing to the crowd. Mixing it all up to a set to make the crowd go wild.
At the age of 16 a turntable was brought into the Sastro house and I started messing with it. Scratching, pull backs etc. where the first tricks to learn. Equipment was still expensive and not affordable at that time and place. So things were set aside. Untill later migrating to Europe the Netherlands, it started itching again, and the first CD players with pitch control and a cheap mixer were bought. Many gigs followed. Started small at family birthday parties, and later bigger events such as Marriage, School Parties and Business events.
Than Army Duty called, and I was listed in the Army, stationed in Germany. So Dj-ing was set to a lower level. After the army I started a course in Audio Visual Technics from which I started working as a Visual Technician for Large Broadcast Companies. Due to this line of work it was not possible to Dj aswell.
Now after 15 years stop, I am back! I'm out of the broadcast industry and started DJ-ing again.
Still marking my territory leaving Dance footprints and happy smiley people behind where ever I went.
Hope to see you soon..
