Biografie
James Wood (Wandii) and Andrew Curd met online in May 2004. Four years later in 2008 they finally decided to form Karanda.Their first release as Karanda took them both by surprise, receiving support from Armin van Buuren on A State of Trance and later their track 'Shuffle' was supported by Judge Jules on Radio 1.
After experimenting with numerous styles to find their own sound, they achieved their first notable vocal original with David Call titled 'On Hold'. This was signed to Coldharbour Recordings and supported by household names like Markus Schulz, Sander van Doorn and Rank 1. By mid 2010 it was gaining massive support in setlists worldwide at renowned events such as Trance Energy.
Following on from this success, Markus Schulz recruited them to remix 'Last Man Standing' from his album titled 'Do You Dream'. They realised this opportunity and didn't disappoint delivering a strong remix. In 2011 a last minute opportunity arose for them to remix Bart Claessen's track 'Hartseer', for the Full on Ferry Ibiza compilation. Gaining massive support from the likes of British trio Above & Beyond.
With their name firmly at the forefront of most in the industry, the success has continued. They entered the remix competition for Above & Beyond's 'You Got To Go', managing an impressive third place. After working hard on a new EP, Karanda signed them to Enhanced Recordings at the back end of 2011. These new originals gained support from Andy Moor, Jochen Miller, Kyau & Albert, Solarstone and Tritonal. This had led them onto remixing a number of Enhanced's upcoming releases, making them an in demand duo.
Andi & Wandii are constantly demanding more from themselves, always creating new melodic trance grooves worthy of any dancefloor. Naturally with all this success under their belts in such a short period of time, they have developed a desire to travel the world and experience those moments firsthand. A desire to deliver their own groove filled trance sets to dancefloors.
With Karanda almost halfway through 2012, they have reaffirmed those desires to DJ worldwide by releasing another flurry of quality productions. So far we have seen several remixes for the likes of Audien, Fast Distance, Rater and an upcoming remix for Matt Davey. The originals are all the more impressive with tracks like 'Cloud Nine', 'Skyfall and the aptly named 'Titan' coming soon on Enhanced Music.
