Biografie
The enigmatic and passionate live artist, producer & DJ Thomas Gandey is known as many guises and pseudonyms and continues to release solid EP's on many labels in 2012 such as Southern Fried, Get Physical, Rekids, Saved, Moda Black & Nervous.
Based out of Bordeaux but with studios in Berlin and the UK he has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, in 2012 had the crossover hit 'Horny' with best mate Radio Slave – a remake of Mousse T's classic which topped Beatport and become somewhat of a Ibiza Anthem.
Constantly working as a Producer this year he oversaw the Remake of Jeff Wayne's Classic multi platinum album the War of the Worlds The New Generation which saw him working with Joss Stone and the Kaiser chiefs to name but a few. He has also produced for a plethora of major artists such as David Byrne, Fatboy Slim & Tracey Thorn.
Thomas has toured extensively this year as a DJ as well as live with a very special collaborative act with Radio Slave, which Resident Advisor hailed as the' freshest piece of experimental techno we've ever heard'.
Always Pushing technological boundaries his trademark DJ style of tech and deep house, nu-disco and techno has focused his DJ career with a unique sound that sees him returning as a resident to such places as We love Space, Razzmatazz, Womb and Ministry of Sound knowing exactly what button to press to make the crowd remember him.
As Cagedbaby Thomas released two albums on Southern Fried Records and is currently working on a third album.
Cagedbaby toured the world extensively after being launched supporting The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and Underworld on live tours and played main stages at just about every major festival being a mainstay of the festival circuit.
Thomas has had Several Essential new tunes on Radio 1, an essential mix, mixed 2 instalments of the "Fried And Tested" compilation (with Fatboy Slim and 2 Bears respectively) & compilations for Pacha, DJ Mag.
A highly sought after remixer and producer, with over 150 remixes under his belt, everyone from Carl Craig to Olly Murs have been tweaked by Gandey.
Thomas does everything himself in the studio. A classically trained pianist, musician fluent in Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools and synth addict Gandey's wide musical influence and collection shows in his productions, as varied as they are unique.
