Biografie
TEN6 is an MC from Lelystad who got interested in music at a very youg age. TEN6 (pronounced as TENSIX or his Dutch hip-hop prjoects TENZES) got his roots in the metal scene the love for raw sounds and heavy drums he also found in drum and bass. The first time he ever heard 'drum and bass' music was somewhere in 2005 when DJ Bisnezz was the support act for a local Crossover metal band at the Underground Lelystad. He really liked the music but he didn't know what it was all about. While hanging out with his friends at the local skatepark he got in touch with more people and also with Bisnezz who told him more about drum and bass.
TEN6 was too young to go to drum and bass parties so he had to wait untill he got older. Finally years later they announced a party in Lelystad called 'Basic Base' So at the age of 15/16 (2007) he went to his first drum and bass party with Bisnezz, Black Sun Empire and more. He didn't miss a single edition ever since.
Nowadays he's even part of the line-up. On June 25th 2011 his friends Soyaman & Savox were opening Basic Base and asked TEN6 for lyrical support. He had never thought about MC-ing but he was always busy playing with rhymes so he said yes. Everybody was really impressed by his skills and energy. Since that night he decided to do this more often.
Every once in a while he's hosting a dubstep or drum and bass party like a rockstar.
On April 16th TEN6 joined the Bruckout familiy/label with the crew they hosted every Tuesday a radio show between 20.00 - 22.00 on Access FM. On January 4th TEN6 went to 50Hurtz at Melkweg Amsterdam, at he second room there was a guy spinning called Jespa. TEN6 and Jespa knew each other from school so he climbed on the stage, got himself a mic and about that moment he knew it was on. He also hosted the second set for Spastix. A friends who was making the aftermovie fixed a backstage wristband for him so after the show he could shake hands with the organisation and he did. Hosky had to play the final set and he was about to do a back to back session with 50 Carrot. TEN6 alrealy hosted a set for Hosky at Dubsteppen Almere so he asked him to join them. The room was full of people and the energy was just perfect. After the show TEN6 talked to TB6K who booked him for the next 2 editions of 50Hurtz he couldn't been any happier.
At the same time he got Asked to MC at Fuzed in Paradiso to support his friend top notch producer Sunaivod in the main room. Without a doubt he said yes, this was a dream coming true. These days he is still working a lot with Sunaivod because his beats are just amazing. TEN6 is the resident host for Basic Base and Bassmental.
