Biografie
Tekno is a polish artist born on 10th December 1984 and is the founder of the Save Our Souls events in Cologne, Germany. After his first experiences as a DJ in 2008, he quickly realized that his skills were good enough to take him to the top. In 2009 he opened his own studio with Mco, Iloco and Patrick van Budde. Consequently this was the place that he and his team spent endless hours djing, producing and debating about how to bring back Trance to Germany, a country totally polluted with Techno and Minimal sound.
In fact, Germany once used to be the birthplace of Trance with Artists like Paul van Dyk, Talla 2XLC, Sven Väth & Oliver Lieb. Yet after the Millennium, people suddenly started losing interest in the Trance genre and within a few years, there were hardly any events left which supported Progressive and Trance sounds.
Seeing an opportunity in the German Music industry to revive the trance scene TEKNO and his team decided to start their own Event Series called "Save Our Souls" in 2010. Since September 2010, they have run events on a monthly basis, inviting many high ranked headliners to spin the decks.
Over the last 3 years, TEKNO has been spinning his progressive and techy sound alongside artists like Alex M.O.R.P.H., Aerofoil, André Visior, Cold Blue, Cressida, Dennis Sheperd, Ernesto vs Bastian, Mark Sixma (M6), Marc Simz, RAM, Sequentia, Setrise, Steve Brian, Talla 2XLC and many others.
His biggest passion are creative mashups and reworks, that even made their way to the huge ASOT 550 Festival in Den Bosch, where Mark Sixma and Setrise supported TEKNO's mashups. Moreover, he received support from quite a few artists including Coldharbour's Mr. Pit, Grube & Hovsepian, Klauss Goulart and Future Focus' Aerofoil, Alex Fisher, Ernesto & M6.
Since September 2011, TEKNO decided to start producing music and collaborated with polish producer DJ T.H. on a progressive remix for Jack Ds, an italian artist whose productions were supported by Sander van Doorn and Claudia Cazacu and also got remixed by Evol Waves and Max Denoise.
In december 2012 TEKNO has signed his first single "Save Our Souls Anthem" on High Contrast Recordings, which was also featured on the "High Contrast presents Dennis Sheperd" compilation.
In august 2013 the single-release of the Save Our Souls Anthem was finally released including a fantastic remix by Aerofoil. The Anthem consequently received amazing support by No.1 DJ Armin van Buuren (ASOT 624), Rank1, Lange, tyDi, Faruk Sabanci, Mark Sixma, Dennis Sheperd, Cold Blue, Skytech and even Coldharbour-founder Markus Schulz expressed "Will support!".
In february 2014 the follow up single 'Two Faces' was released on FF Records, a dutch label owned by Ernest van de Meij, who's been part of the famous duo Enersto vs Bastian for over a decade. 'Two Faces' once again has received huge support from Lange, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Aerofoil and E&G and many more.
Currently, TEKNO is working on a whole bunch of new tracks and has lined up a set of amazing collaborations for 2014.
