Biografie
Egal 3 aka VID is one of the monikers associated with well-established Romanian DJ and producer Sorin Rastoaca.
Throughout the last couple of years, the man has crafted a number of well-received house and techno EPs on labels like Barraca and Fear of Flying as well as turning in a delightful full length on Monique Musique.
With plenty of bottom end toughness paired with a percussive ingenuity up top, it's no wonder fans of Egal 3's groove-laden dancefloor sounds include Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and Loco Dice.
Recent years have also seen Egal collaborate with major players like Desolat's Livio and Roby as well as Santos, Andrew Grant, Martinez and Fabrizio Mauriz, with future studio pairings seeing Egal work with Andrea Oliva.
So too will the future bring more vinyl only releases on Memoria Music, as well as plenty more international gigs following recent killer sets at The Zoo Belgium, Studio 80 Amsterdam, Poema Club and Pakhuis Festival in Rotterdam with Hermanez. Egal 3, then, is the producer one everyone's lips right now…
