Biografie
Within grime Rude Kid's worked with a 'whose who?' of the scene – including Wiley, Skepta, Kano, JME and Ghetto – making him the go to producer for the top artists. He's received support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss and BBC 1Xtra – from DJs such as Tim Westwood, Mistajam, Toddla T, Logan Sama, Mary Anne Hobbs and Ras Kwame. His diverse production styles have led to his tracks being staples in many a djs record box – including Joker, Plastician, Terror Danjah and Oneman.
Rude Kid's productions have a unique sound, a sound which he himself describes as Alien Music. Although he covers the traditional grime staples his sound ventures into funky, dubstep – even techno at times. He's perfectly balanced to sit amongst the current wealth of 'what you call it?' dance music thats currently blossoming within the UK underground – and this album sees him serve up his unique interpretation of this.
On tracks like Jack Daniels Rude Kid experiments with a driving 4×4 beat that wouldn't sit out of place in a techno set, the tracks was recently track of the week on BBC 1Xtra and even has its own video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-t9Tm-lnk4. On Electric he delivers his take on dubstep and he doesn't disappoint – coming up with one of the scenes most popular tracks,UFO and Space Dance allow Rude Kid to develop his signature Alien Music sound – something that is subtly present within all the tracks. The album is a diverse journey yet doesn't feel incoherent – rather Rude Kid delivers a compelling, fresh take on where British underground music is in 2010.
A recent remix of Man Like Me's London Town has been selected to feature on the next edition of DJ Hero. Rude kid has also remixed tracks for Skepta, Jay Sean and for Big Dada. Rude Kid's music has also been synched to MTV, T mobile and Trident adverts as well as a forthcoming feature film entitled Freight. Adding to his production bow Rude Kid is now djing his exclusive productions, and has already smashed up dance floors for Dirty Canvas, Urban Nerd, ATG and DTA's Gumball party.
