Biografie
Sas van Gent 1996, after going to lots of party's in Gent (B) Mseize got inspired to become a DJ/ Turntablist.
He started buying his first records, mainly east-coast boombap hiphop from the golden age (1993-1997).
Within the first year he started rockin' several party's around the way, going by the name of DJ M16.
After moving to Utrecht M16 started playing more funky tunes from the Bay-area, mixed up with that old-school-hiphop-party-flavour.
At the same time he started to get more into turntablism, which resulted in entering the Dutch DMC contest in 2005.
In the Utrecht scene Mseize hooked up with a whole bunch of people who made it possible to become resident DJ at several party's in the Netherlands and earning his respect by doing the right thing.
In 2006 the crew 207 (Paradox, PerC. Atactic and Reazun) from Utrecht asked Mseize to join forces on stage.
Since that time 207 has been performing with Mseize as their backbone.
Another Utrecht crew called Keynote Speakerz was about to drop their first album in 2007 so they approached Mseize to do some cuts and to become their DJ.
In the fall of 2007 Pax and Pry were about to release their album and they also asked him to join them on stage.
At this moment he is still rolling with these three crews.
Boombap-party-hiphop from the golden age and funk-related-hiphop will always be the base of the set.
This style is combined with old school and new school hiphop, all kinds of funk, breakbeats, soul and sometimes even popmusic, cutting up and mixing the tracks at a high tempo.
Mseize' motto: Don't act like ruffneck but get you back of from the wall and shake that funky booty!!!
