Biografie
J-Sax spices up all kinds of parties, events & recordings with warm, organic & colorful sax !
J-Sax has been intrigued by music and dance as long as he can remember. At an early age he started to jam and dance with his records. He sang along, played his guitar (like a wild man) and jammed his little drum toys. Later on he also brutalized the tapes he recorded from radio and friends……and he still does !
At the age off 22 he bought a King-Cleveland alto sax, and it turned his live upside down! He started to "work" that sucker and fell in L.O.V.E.! Since that day his saxes are a definite part of his live.
In the process he started his own band, and from that day on playin' became an expressive need for him! And it still does! Through several bands, projects, studio recordings, writing- and arranging jobs and playin' live around his own country , Belgium, Germany and Istanbul, Austria, Switzerland he met several fine music-friends and started to collaborate in his own projects like Sax Da DJee (with his local friend DJ O'Niels).
He started to play with DJ's and it felt like going back to the early day's playing records, loops, cd's etc., but this time in cool places at cool parties.
And above all with the interaction of DJ's like; O'Niels, Lewis Ferrier, TDK, R-No, Roog, Denz Devarez, Neil Stoner, Chillie Parker, Ramon Diaz, Marcello, Erick E, Jean, Asino & Mickey-T (The Brothers Funk), Miss El Niño, Martin Damen, Michael Man, Le Ber, Denniz, Raul Riva, Hendy, La Corona, Miss Brown, Robert Abigail, Peter Gelderblom, Youri Donatz, Robert Feelgood, Bart Liefland etc., and several 'live' musicians like Mc's: Choral, Sensara, Blain, Tjo-Kwan, Ravenna, Bizzey, Guitar: Camiel (Ward Veenstra), Eller van Bueren, Percussion: Cherokee, Mike Colen, Jeroen Vrolijk etc...and all the guys en galls of the live bands he performed with offcourse.
This is what J-Sax loves the most; interacting with the dudes/dudettes and crowd in search of the unexpected! Yo Flow!
