Heb je vrijdag voor het eerst live horen en zien draaien bij Madhouse (al wel eens op clipjes). Je was echt top !! Het dak eraf, mijn benen uit mijn lijf gedanst. En je staat zelf ook lekker uit je plaat te gaan, dat maakt het nog extra leuk ! xx Anita
DJ Renji started out as ‘the Enforcer’, way back in the year 1993, when he got his first ‘real’ gig as a DJ playing at a public party in Haarlem (NL).
At that party, displaying his talent and mixing skills, he got noticed by people who made way for him as an uprising DJ with a unique sound.
One led to another and in no time an imposing career was launched, making several appearances at for instance Thunderdome, Shadowlands and Mystery Land.
For the next couple of years DJ ‘the Enforcer’ became a well-known name among the DJ’s in the hardcore-scene, playing at countless major parties and venues all around.
Somewhere around 1998/1999, when electronic music became more mainstream, this DJ noticed that the music he really liked and wanted to play, didn’t fit in any sort of subculture (mellow/hardcore) that was going on in Holland at that time. Although the kind of music he did like was rising in Greece, Italy and Spain, his homeland Holland didn’t seem to be ready for an “ in between” music style.
Faced by a moral dilemma, DJ Renji (the altered name he chose for his new musical direction) decided to follow his heart and made a promise to himself from then on only to play the kind of music that reflects his real passion, best to describe: alternative melodic trance with a ‘catch’, leaded by a pounding bass.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t yet to be embraced by the Dutch crowd, which leaded to fewer bookings in Holland, but more and more fame in Italy and around.
While being a resident DJ at several Italian venues, like ‘Cocorico’ (Rimini) and ‘Baja Imperiale’ (Riccione), Renji became more and more experienced with an upcoming and all over Europe accepted sound of electronic music, mostly known as progressive trance.
Although DJ Renji’s choice of music made him an outcast in Holland for quite some time, nowadays his style is more popular than ever. With role-models like Sasha, John Digweed and world famous duo Deep Dish in mind, he’s back in the Dutch partyscene once again. And this time he’s here to stay……

Wat zo bizar is aan Renji is dat hij een uniek geluid weet te laten horen in zoveel bestaande genres. Ik hoor op feesten vaak veel van hetzelfde. Daar heeft Renji echt een USP in... Voor wie niet weet wat dat is: een Unique Selling Point!
Iets wat je onderscheidt van de rest.
Het is een mix van wat goed is en daarnaast swingt hij zelf de pan uit. Altijd lekker om Renji te zien draaien.

Hoe kan een topper als jij dan ook alle fans onthouden? Helemaal geen teken van miskenning. Nee eerder een teken dat er erg veel mensen houden van jouw skills...
zijn sound vind ik samen met een hele grote groep vrienden van me, nog steeds een van de apartste sounds hebben.
heerlijk om op los te gaan......en zeker om te zien hoe Renji altijd zijn eigen feestje heeft in de booth!!!!
Succes de 26 feb Contest te Crystal Venue....ben oh zo benieuwd wat men kan in 15 minuten (kan het dak eraf?)....en natuurlijk daarna van 03.00 t/m 04.00 de winnaars in andere zaal nogeens een uur knallen..
