Marichio

DJ Marichio was born on the 16th of Oktober 1974 in Zeeland (South of Holland). His resident place now is Zoetermeer in Holland. His first and biggest house party was Rave The City in The Hague in the nineties. That was the beginning of House music with a lot of different styles.

The music he prefered at that time was Mellow House and his favorite party's after that was, Love Parade Berlijn, Gaultier Parties, Silly Symphonies… His favourite house deejays for the first time in 1992 in the Amsterdam Hilton hotel where DJ Remy and DJ Dimitri, residents deejays from the legendary Roxy in Amsterdam. Totally inspired by this kind of melow house music he was sold forever!

DJ Marichio was started like al most dj's on the attic with his first dj mixing set with a mixer and Technics SL1200 turntables. On party's from his local friends he was welcome to show his mixing skills.

With several contact from the dance scene he started to play on Heaven to Heaven party's. Together with great dj's like, Marc van Dale, Michel de Hey and DJ Remy.
In the year 2000 he went to Ibiza to go on vacation, but he had some mixing tapes and some own house tracks with him. After that he was booked at that time by DJ Gee (Konga resident DJ) in the famous Konga Club for 2 months in Ibiza.

When he came back in Holland he was also resident dj in Club OQ for 3 years with succes.

DJ Marichio wants more! The last 3 years he build his own production studio making his own tracks. At the moment he is making live sets with Ableton live together with his dj set. Last year in october 2013 he was doing a contest by Vinylized Producers Competition at their workshop by SAE in Amsterdam. He reached the fifth place.

Techhouse, Progressive & Techno and that is also the styles he likes to play!
