Biografie
·Latin Society is a movement started by percussionist and producer Adriaan Joaquin Correa. Its aim is to make Latin music & dance accessible to a diverse audience, in a contemporary context. The foundation does this by organizing different ensembles, educational programs and events.
Part of this movement is the Latin Society Orchestra, currently one of the top Latin orchestras in Europe, consisting of the finest musicians in the Benelux. Their band members have worked with the musicians of Metropole Orchestra, Gloria Estefan, Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Gilberto Santa Rosa, New Cool Collective and Marco Borsato, among others.
Latin Society has accompanied various Latin vocalists in their European tours as well, like Luisito Carrión (Sonora Ponceña), Yan Collazo (Grupo Niche), Pedro Arroyo (orquesta Guayacán), and Maelo Ruiz.
Currently, they are working as the backing band for young Latin artist Rolf Sanchez. With him, Latin Society has appeared on several TV shows such as RTL Late Night, DWDD, NPO Cultura, and have performed at events in Ahoy', De Kuip and UITmarkt.
